Class Description

Join us Friday nights for some jewelry making free-form fun!! Once you’ve gotten some foundation skills under your belt, you’ll see how to put your techniques to work making some personalized bling! Demos will develop organically to teach you how to stone set, forge or fabricate fabulous jewelry. There will be an emphasis on design and honing your soldering and stone setting skills so you can make your visions come to life. Come join us for this great way to top off the end of the week with some creative metalsmithing fun. 


PREREQUISITE:  Beginner to intermediate foundation skills (sawing, filing, soldering, etc.)

Helen Blythe-Hart

Helen is an internationally collected metal artist and educator.  She has been metalsmithing and teaching for over 40 years.  Her invention, a revolutionary soldering method called the Heat Zone, has helped thousands to conquer the torch.  She uses her method to create strikingly original jewels opulently encrusted with colorful gemstones and futuristic sculptures.  Degrees include an MFA and BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing and decades of Gemology.
