This class will be a good introduction to how CAD works, why it's important in the industry, and what other kinds of software there are out there when students are looking for their own designs. Students will be exposed to several techniques and concepts of CAD. CAD has all the building blocks that can enable a student to build jewelry designs, tool designs, etc. Students will also be learning what to DO with the designs once they have them -- how to turn them into real items (using 3D printing or services that handle it).
