Rita McMorris was born and raised in Kinston, NC. Her experience in Art at a young age led her into a career based on acquiring skills as an apprentice. She started working for a local Jeweler in 2000 and has been in the field since then. There she learned lost wax casting, watch and jewelry repair, polishing, diamond cutting, ring making, and wax modeling. Her favorite mediums are Pencil drawing and watercolors. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, photography, writing poetry, music, discovering new forms of arts, architecture, horseback riding, animals, and all things adventurous. Otherwise, she is usually at her studio working or studying. She lives in Atlanta, GA and has one son.
