This class will focus on the formation of various styles of links and repetitious components. These components will be assembled to create chains with simple clasps. Some of the techniques that will be covered in this class are fabricating components from wire and sheet. We will explore different ways of attaching the components to one another, making jump rings and rivets. Fusing, texturing, and fine soldering, are some of the ways we will complete the chains. We will also explore a variety of simple clasps.

Students can expect to finish one necklace or bracelet, depending on the complexity of the links they choose. Students are also free to explore a variety of different links and forms to add to their repertoire. Students of all skill levels are welcome.
