Class Description
In this project based course, students will learn solid techniques of metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication. In these 4 weeks of creating, students will be introduced to the MINI TORCH as well as the Acetylene torch for soldering and other fun techniques to create a unique piece of jewelry. Come ready to learn as we explore various tools and their many uses, design and texture, forming, forging, sawing and bezel setting stones. Join us in a relaxed environment and let your creativity soar!
Prerequisite
Students must be 15 to 19 years old, with proof of age, OR have permission of the instructor. Proof of age may be a driver's permit or license or a copy of your birth certificate.
Any student under the age of 18 must submit a Release of Liability form, signed by a parent or legal guardian. Download the form below, complete it, and email it to classes@metalartsguildga.org prior to the first day of class.
