In this 8 week Beginning Class we will focus on soldering. Achieving the perfect solder seam requires many hours of practice and patience. In this class I will work to demystify some of the challenges around soldering. Through a variety of samples, both simple and complex, we will explore different ways to achieve success.    

By the end of our 8 weeks, students should have a full understanding of the differences between easy, medium and hard solder and when to use each of them. We will also learn about the different types of surfaces (bricks) one can use to solder and when it is best to use which surface.   

While it will be helpful to have a basic understanding of soldering, students of all levels are welcome.
