Repousse, which hammers a design from the backside of a piece of metal, creates unique and beautiful ornamentation. Highlight it with granulation, a notoriously difficult and mysterious technique that involves making granules or balls of fine silver (or gold) that get soldered or fused onto the repousse design to enhance its beauty, its detail, and its uniqueness.
