Advance your cloisonné skills and begin to develop personal enamel imagery! This class introduces students to the many possible ways to create patterns using enamel color, foils, and cloisonné wire. A core part of our process will be learning how to translate design elements into enamel design elements. You will be challenged to combine new techniques, design questions, and story ideas as you develop your artistic enamel vision and voice. Students will collect, change, and combine a variety of patterns to be translated using enamel techniques and then begin the process of using their enamel patterns to create personal imagery.

Students should expect to become more comfortable with their cloisonné skills, explore new ways to use their skills to develop and build enamel patterns, and begin to explore the use of pattern in personal enamel imagery.

Two weeks before the first day of class, students will be provided access to some basic cloisonné video tutorials as reference and for practice.
