This class will teach you how to take advantage of molding and casting to cut down on fabrication time. Instead of making every link of a bracelet by hand, we'll make it once, mold it and then cast the wax versions over and over till we have all the links we want (hopefully enough to make a bracelet). The link you create will have a tube setting as part of it. Nobody should be intimidated by this. The most technical part will be making the tube-setting (which if you don't know is super simple). Once all of the links have been cast and finished, we will join them to make a bracelet, add a simple clasp, and voila! You will have a beautiful bracelet. Students will supply their own metal & stones and I'll provide the mold making supplies. For stones, I'd recommend CZs because they are consistent and cheap but feel free to use something else: just remember, your tubing needs to be half a millimeter wider than the stone (reach out if you have any questions).
