This class will teach you how to take advantage of molding and casting instead of making every link of a bracelet by hand. We'll start by making a tube setting and soldering on jump rings (that will make the master link that we'll be copying). From there, we'll make a rubber mold of it to produce wax copies. After that we'll cast those copies in metal until we have as many as we want. (Don't be intimidated, tube setting is super simple). Once the links have been cast and finished, and the stones are set, we’ll join them with jump rings, add a simple clasp, and voila! You will have a beautiful bracelet.
Students will supply their own stones and metal for casting and I'll provide the mold making supplies. For stones, I'd recommend CZs because they are consistent and cheap but feel free to use something else: just remember, your tubing needs to be half a millimeter wider than the stone (reach out if you have any questions).
