Prerequisite: Prerequisite: 1 jewelry class at MAGG, or student is confident with using the Smith acetylene torch
Explore accessible casting techniques in this 5-week class. Start by carving a simple wax charm—perfect for a pendant, bracelet, or earring add-on—then learn sand casting and cuttlefish casting, two satisfying methods that deliver instant results with minimal equipment. In the final session, you'll refine your piece with finishing techniques, including soldering on a bail. This course is ideal for those curious about small-scale casting that’s achievable in a home setup or during MAGG Open Studio.
