In this class, we will fabricate a basic 4-prong basket setting using round wire, then set a round faceted stone to make a pendant.
 
 The MAGG studio has the basic tools needed, but if you have your own, please bring them to ensure you have what you need when you need it. (See Hand Tools list)
 
The method I teach is based on the information contained in the book Creative Stonesetting by John Cogswell. If you have access to the book, you could read pages 92 – 109 to become familiar with the vocabulary and concepts.

Prerequisite: You must be able to solder
