Prerequisite: Three courses of Jewelry 1 or instructor permission.
This class is back by popular demand. Filigree is an ancient metalsmithing technique that involves making see through ornamental lacework inside of whatever shapes/pieces you care to construct. You will make beautiful designs with twisted and flattened wires instead of expensive sheet. This technique will have you practicing soldering in addition to designing the filigree patterns you use. Learn the basics and beyond by creating flat and three dimensional projects. This class is suitable for intermediate students and advanced students new to filigree.

This class is for adults who are 18 or older. Closed-toe shoes required; denim or cotton clothing is recommended.
