Prerequisite: Intermediate and Advanced Level – have taken at least 8 metal smithing classes.
This class is all about incorporating a ball bearing underneath a cabochon to make a spinning ring. We’ll fabricate a deep bezel with room to hide the bearing, a ring with a tube that holds the bearing, then carefully attach the two elements together so that they’re secure but still able to spin freely. Along the way I’ll cover a bunch of fabrication tips and tricks that will be applicable to many different projects.
