Join me for this two day workshop to explore all things rings. We will begin by experimenting with three different organic ring bands: two that are sculpted and fused from wire, and one that is created entirely from sterling silver scrap (without a crucible and mold!). Each will offer an opportunity to investigate different shapes of bands, and a chance to play with unexpected textures. After shaping and sizing our ring bands (with and without math), we will choose one of our fabulous rings to set a faceted stone on. Then we will dive deep into my organic and unconventional approach to prong setting, from creating the seat, shaping the ‘roots’ to solder onto the ring band, cleaning up, then setting a lovely gemstone. You should be able to walk away with one heck of a ring finished, and a couple of ring bands to take home and continue your practice.
