This deep dive into in-studio recycling covers seasoning a crucible, the use of several different types of ingot molds, milling sheet, pulling wire, forming tubing, alloying different colors and karats of gold, making 80/20 reticulation silver and many other tips and tricks to help you successfully reuse precious metals.
 
Obtaining all the different tools used in recycling and forming raw materials can feel like a daunting task. I’ll show how even with minimal equipment you can do a lot. I’ll also show what a larger investment in tooling can achieve and talk about what order I would acquire these tools if I had to do it all over again.
