< Back Visiting Artist As I work my way through constant sensory overload, my enameling and metalsmithing pursuits explore ideas relevant to current brain-dominating subject matter. Frequent mind disturbances include nuclear power, planet degradation, imaginary space objects and creatures, molecular & cellular structures, mathematical pursuits, and all of their inter-connectedness. As a general rule, I am attempting to resolve the battle for brain dominance between chaos and geometry, expressing inner turbulence through abstract or geometric drawings. Seeking to bear witness to a world scarred and degraded by abuses both vast and negligible, i invite the viewer into a space of speculation and hopefully, discussion. Perhaps from a very simplistic view, the world seems to boil down to a few “roots of all evil” and yet, in its own majesty, it is built on very sound mathematical principles. My work is a constant expression of how these “trouble spots” intertwine with all the beauty that geometry offers our planetary existence. BIO Anne has been an independent studio artist for 19 years, teaching 10-20 workshops a year and exhibiting in juried fine craft shows.
