Prerequisite: No prior experience required. Students must be teachable, patient, able to follow instructions and willing to practice hands-on techniques. Basic math and hand dexterity are helpful. Students must follow all safety procedures and purchase a $40 tool material kit (mold trays, alginate and basic tools).

$40 material fee covers the student kit, including mold trays, dental stone plaster, mixing bowl and spatula, measuring cups, alginate, wax and basic tools needed for hands-on instruction.

Safety glasses, apron, face masks, disposable gloves, notebook and pen or pencil, digital gram scale, water, soap (small bar), medium sized bowl, small files, sandpaper, polishing cloth. Precious metals for castings are not included in the $40 material fee. Closed toe shoes, permanent marker, hair tied back for long hair. MAGG Classroom supplies include: casting machine, burnout kiln, polishing/buffing machine, magnetic tumbler, ultrasonic cleaner, steamer, flex shaft/rotary tools, torches/gas setup with oxygen, dental vibrator, scales, and appropriate safety equipment.
