Explore fundamental jewelry construction skills in this multi-week class through guided instruction in sawing, soldering, forming, and finishing using brass, copper, and sterling silver. The class provides focused instruction and practice to build confidence with essential metalsmithing tools and techniques. No experience necessary - just a willingness to learn and create.
Think Outside the Oval!
Join me for 7 fun-filled weeks of stone setting with uniquely shaped cabochons! We’ll dive into the art of creating custom bezels and learn how to beautifully set stones with corners, curves, and everything in between.
Bring your favorite square, triangle, rectangle, freeform—or any wonderfully wonky shape you love! Just leave those predictable ovals and circles at home. Come ready to get creative, build your skills, and give those unique stones the settings they deserve!
This project is recommended for returning students who have previously set round and oval cabochons. Brand new beginner students will have the option to substitute round or oval cabochons as needed.
This class is for adults who are 18 or older. Closed-toe shoes required; denim or cotton clothing is recommended.
