This weekly course in a creative, hands-on environment encourages thoughtful construction, skill refinement, and artistic growth through instructor-led projects that foster confidence and craftsmanship in your jewelry making. Come play, create, and push your metalsmithing skills to the next level!In this weekly class, students will learn the fundamentals of stone setting by creating a prong set ring and a pair of prong set earrings. This class focuses on precision, control, and confidence while introducing essential fabrication and stone-setting techniques.By the end of the series, students will:Understand the basics of prong settings and stone securityLearn proper torch use and soldering techniquesShape and size a ring bandSet stones using prongs with control and accuracyDevelop clean finishing and polishing skillsThis class is for adults who are 18 or older. Closed-toe shoes required; denim or cotton clothing is recommended.
