Day one, beginning through advanced silversmiths start with the anatomy of the flame and apply it to a series of exercises designed to build a lifelong foundation of successful soldering skills. Learn how to control the heat, reduce firescale and prevent "Meniscus Disease" while covering various methods of soldering bezels, jump rings, earring posts and even decorative elements with little or no clean up.Day two includes a thorough lesson in studio safety covering acetylene tank transportation, securing, testing for leaks and how to install and properly use and adjust the regulator for your peace of mind. Studio safety discussions also include proper attire, soldering surfaces, ventilation recommendations, and pickling how-to's. Invaluable for those who want to improve their soldering skills or just need a refresher.Beginning thru advanced levels students and instructors welcome.
