Janet Dickinson is a lifelong learner and lover of art and travel. She grew up in Taiwan. She has two daughters and lived for many years in Charlotte, NC where she owned several businesses and worked as a full-time Realtor. In 2013 she moved to Beaufort, SC to reinvent her life after getting divorced and finally landed in Atlanta, GA where she is now married to her wonderfully supportive husband Mike. Janet is curious and creative and loves to know how things work. She has been an artist her entire life and came to metalsmithing when she wanted to learn how to solder back in 2017. Once she held a torch in her hand and learned how to manipulate metal, down the rabbit hole she went. Janet enjoys learning new techniques and takes every metalsmithing class she can fit in her schedule. She loves stone setting, reticulation, metal clay, upcycling vintage jewelry, and working with gold and silver. She is currently the President of the Metal Arts Guild of Georgia and also works for Keller Williams as a Realtor.
